Each Series of Evolution sculpture started out as a driftwood carving. Exquisitely handcrafted using crushed pecan shells, resin and cold cast stone. Airbrushed by hand.
This sculpture is Tree Keeper, model #3034, 1999 second edition. Although 3500 were planned to be produced, Bill Vernon's records indicate only 186 were actually made before it was retired in 2004.

On May 29, 1998, Bill Vernon Studios in Franklin was destroyed by a fire. So many sculptures, the molds, and almost all records were lost. We did rebuild, but on a much smaller scale. On 2004, all Bill Vernon sculptures were retired.
