    Gorham’s Century Vase Centennial Exhibition Leaflet/Ad 1876.
    I am pleased to offer this 1876 Centennial Exhibition Leaflet or Ad for Gorham Silver Company’s Century Vase that First Lady Julia Grant ordered especially for the Philadelphia exhibition at the cost of ,000.
    The leaflet gives the dimensions of the famous Sterling Silver Century Vase and notes the designers (George Wilkinson & T.J. Pairpoint).
    The leaflet also gives the story of the vase including the meaning of its symbols.
    On the back is a history of the Gorham Silver Company up to 1876.
    This rare leaflet is in very good condition with minor soiling, very minor foxing in a couple of places, a short tear on the side and fold lines from more than a century in storage.
    This ad also has a “20” written on the front in old ink and a penciled signature on the back. /.
