    Description

    The Jamaica 50 Dollars banknote was issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2020. It is purple, red, and green in color and measures 145 x 68 mm. The obverse side features Samuel Sharpe, parrots in underprint, morning glory (ipomoea) flowers, periwinkle flowers, and the coat of arms. The banknote's reverse also depicts periwinkle flowers and Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay. This paper bill bears a Windowed security thread with demetalized BOJ 50 and the watermark shows Sam Sharpe with electrotype 50 and parrot. The paper bill was printed by Giesecke & Devrient. This particular Jamaica 50 Dollars banknote is in uncirculated condition.
