Gold Mounted Violin Bow By H.R. Pfretzschner. This Pernambuco violin bow is a beautiful example from the Pfretzschner family of bow makers.  The bow is gold mounted and in excellent condition considering it's age. It was made in the 1930's, the golden age of the Pfretzschner bow making workshop. The Frog is ebony and is in impeccable condition with very light wear. On the frog, you will see it has the Pfretzschner family crest stamped there. (pictured). The button and ferrule are gold as well and also in very good condition. The stick is of beautifully flamed Pernambuco and is octagonal in shape  It has fresh hair and is ready to be enjoyed. The bow plays beautifully and is very nimble at 55 grams doing everything you would need a professional quality bow to do.  The bow is accompanied by an insurance appraisal from a well-known bow maker stating that the bow is worth 00.  Bows by this maker and of this caliber are highly sought after especially in this condition. Customer will have a 72 hour window to try out the bow. Bow will be professionally packed and shipped with UPS ground.
