Scientific Atlanta / Cisco D9887 HDTV Modular Receiver(Picture of actual item for sale - not stock photo - more pictures at bottom)
The Scientific Atlanta (A Cisco Company) D9887 HDTV Modular Receiver is designed to receive broadcasts using MPEG-2 4:2:0 or MPEG-4 AVC 4:2:0 digital compression technology. Modular design allows it to be configured to suit your specific needs. HD support for 1080i at 25 / 29.97 / 30fps, 720P at 50 / 59.94 / 60fps, 480P at 59.94fps, 480i at 29.95fps, and 576i at 25fps. Features include: 1-81 Mbps decodable video bit rate dependent on video decoder option, 1-160 Mbps transport data rate dependent on selected input options, video resolution interpolation (letter box, cropped, anamorphic), configuration via front panel LCD, two analog stereo outputs per program, SNMP control / monitoring, ROSA Network Management (NMS) support, and web-based management (10/100 BaseT).
This is configured with a 8705, 8702, 8707A, and 8725 card.
The 8705 is a high definition video output card, providing 2x HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M) and 1x analog component (RGBHV / YPbPr). Four pairs of audio can be embedded into the serial output on group 1 and 2. Closed captioning found within the transport (608/708B) can be embedded into the serial video output.
The 8702 is a ASI/310M serial transport stream I/O (DVB-ASI/SMPTE 310M) option card. This card will receive a TS from either a DVB-ASI input or a SMPTE 310M input. Only one format may be selected at a time. For an ASI input, the bitrate of the TS must be between 1.5 Mb/s and 160 Mb/s. For a SMPTE 310M input, the bitrate of the TS must be 19.392658 Mb/s. The selected input format will also be the output format. The 8702 card can also be used as a TS output for any of the other input cards.
The 8707A is an audio output option card (Dolby E, AES Digital, Analog). Provides two digital audio outputs and two analog audio pair outputs. Also has the ability to parse Dolby E compressed audio. It provides the audio from two audio decoder processors.
The 8725 is MRD Ethernet Services Adapter (MPEG over IP input/output). This card encapsulates the TS from the bus and will transmit IPstreams, which are present on the bus, to either ASI/310M or to a decoder. Up to two multicasts can be subscribed to, allowing for a backup multicast to be chosen and three mirrored multicasts can be transmitted to allow for redundancy. Transmits and Receives Multiple Streams Simultaneously, Supports Pro-MPEG COP3 FEC, IGMPv2/v3, HRTP, and Null-Stripped VBR. Connections are 1x 10/100/1000 auto-negotiating Base-T RJ-45 Ethernet Port and 1x SFP port.
Includes hardware only, no software. Cosmetically has some scratches and touchups on top cover. The front faceplate has heavy scratches on it. But all this is cosmetic and there is no actual damage. No missing backplates. Software 6.1.0. Tested for power, button functionality, basic output, and recognition of installed options - though not fully to factory spec. Ebay's About Me page
The following pertains to our listing terms and conditions. Please read so there is no surprises as to the total cost of your item or any of our polices:
Q. How much will I owe for sales tax?
A. With the current marketplace facilitator laws, Ebay is now responsible for collecting and remiting all applicable sales tax on this platform. It is no longer the reponsibility of third party sellers, so any questions regarding sales tax must be directed to Ebay. Note that many states are now mandating sales tax when making purchases from major online marketplaces such as Ebay, even if it is shipping from an out of state seller. Please check your local laws and the “shipping and payments” tab to understand your sales tax obligations on purchases. If you are a tax-exempt buyer (such as a reseller), you need to obtain tax exempt status through Ebay. We do not have the authority anymore to remove sales tax; only Ebay can do that if buyer qualifies. Please contact Ebay for any sales tax questions or issues.
Q. Why should I buy from The Broadcast Baron?
A. Rest easy knowing your gear will arrive to you in tip-top shape. We are an experienced seller specializing in broadcast/professional audio and video equipment. Every piece of gear is thoroughly assessed and repaired/maintained as needed. We even clean the items cosmetically, so they look their very best upon arrival. If the rare piece of gear arises that we are not familiar enough with to test or repair properly, service of the item will be outsourced to qualified broadcast technicians or the item will be clearly marked as untested. If any flaws remain at the time the item is listed, they will be fully disclosed so there is no surprises. We believe in customer service and will patiently answer all your questions. We value our reputation and want you to leave happy, knowing you got a great value for your money. We strive to achieve a level of customer satisfaction where The Broadcast Baron name comes to mind whenever you are looking for a piece of equipment - and you are eager to refer us to your friends!
Q. What kind of warranty is offered?
A. All items include a 30 day warranty from date of delivery. Domestic returns are free unless the buyer causes the item to arrive back in worse condition than it was received (abuse, damage, tampering, modification, removal/replacement of parts, significant usage added, etc). We reserve right to issue a partial refund in the above “buyer fault” scenarios corresponding to the severity of the issue. Return shipping cost is paid by seller for domestic returns. International returns are for item not as described only and cost paid by buyer. A partial refund, replacement, or repair is possible as alternative to return, at the agreement of both parties. Item must be returned packaged well in the same manner sent so it arrives back safely. Refund issued by same method as payment. A free copy of our full warranty terms/conditions can be obtained upon request.
Q. What happens if the gear arrives with shipping damage?
A. The Broadcast Baron takes meticulous care in packaging the items it ships and each item will be fully insured. However, in the unlikely event that shipping damage or loss does occur, you will not be held financially responsible. Regardless of whether the shipping company eventually pays us or not on the insurance claim, we honor the 30 day warranty. We would only ask that you fully cooperate with the insurance claim and save all the original packaging.
Q. Do you sell to international buyers?
A. Yes, but not every item we sell can ship to every country. Please look at ebay's shipping and handling section (below the auction) to see which countries each particular item can be shipped to.
Q. How much is domestic shipping?
A. For most items, free shipping (including insurance) via FEDEX ground or USPS priority is included in the purchase price to any of the 48 states. Please take note if a particular item specifies free shipping or not. If you need anything faster, you will be responsible for the additional cost. Feel free to contact us for an express service shipping quote. Express shipping can also be billed to your own UPS/FEDEX/DHL account if you prefer.
Q. How much is international shipping (including Alaska and Hawaii)?
A. Buyer is responsible for actual shipping costs. Default shipping method to international locations is USPS express. Please use the USPS shipping calculator or contact us to get a shipping quote. USPS has different dimensional restrictions for different countries. It may turn out that your item, once packaged, is too large to use USPS service. Also, some items are too valuable to be able to be fully insured by USPS (also this varies by country). If this is the case, you will be given the option to use FEDEX instead and given an appropriate quote for FEDEX international costs. International shipping prices vary greatly depending on your location. Please contact us before bidding for a precise shipping quote and confirmation that the item meets the size/value requirements to go USPS. Please note that any customs charges, taxes, or duties levied by your country is your responsibility.
