I am selling repair kit for VDO Siemens Throttle Body Module (catalogue numbers below).
Common problem is that the gears wear out and you get an error P0638 because the actuator can't run the full motion of the butterfly valve.
Verry little skill required to make this repair. See video.
With this repair kit you can save yourself
quite a bit of money
.
Gears are with purpose made of plastic so no short circuit can be made within electronic module and wiring.
Please check that the electronics is working as it should because it can be damaged in a way it does not recognize force so it crushes gears.
I am not going to refund you if your throttle actuator control electronics (magnet, hall sensor, driver) is defective.
Also clean the butterfly valve so it can move without blockage.
Half moon gear is designed to have snug fit. You can add some glue for extra safety.
Add small amount of grease (Lithium).
Color of the plastic may vary from the pictures included.
