Vintage Occupied Japan Celluloid Santa w/ Bell Wind-Up-A

Description

This celluloid Santa Claus wind-up is 4.5 inches (11 cm) tall. He has a westernized face with large rounded eyes.
The figure is marked Made in Occupied Japan in the celluloid on the lower part of the toy sack Santa holds over his shoulder. The other arm holds a dangling bell. Santa is all celluloid with a tin base. The head will move slightly back and forth with a nodding motion as the toy moves.
When wound (a key is included) the figure rolls forward in a circle. The wheels are slightly offset, producing a slightly bobbbing forward motion so that the head wobbles and the bell swings. The wind-up works well. Condition is very good with bright colors, no dents and one small area of celluloid missing near the keyhole.
